A little about who I am, where I come from, and what brought me to this work.
I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) offering individual therapy for anyone seeking a space to feel heard, supported, and gently understood. I hold graduate degrees in Mental Health Counselling and Psychology, and my work is grounded in both clinical training and deep care.
My clinical practice draws from narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, and attachment theory, guided by a commitment to cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and relational integrity.
Before establishing my private practice, I worked extensively in immigrant and refugee community settings, supporting youth, families, and adults navigating trauma, intergenerational conflict, and cultural transition. That work shaped me profoundly. It taught me that healing doesn't always begin with language, that presence, pacing, and genuine attunement are what make the real difference.
Born and raised in China, I now call Victoria, BC home. The journey of becoming an immigrant, navigating a new language, a new culture, a new sense of self, is one I know from the inside. I understand the quiet complexities of carrying multiple identities: the grief of what's been left behind, the disorientation of in-between spaces, the courage it takes to begin again.
My practice is inclusive, trauma-informed, and queer-affirming, shaped by cultural humility, lived experience, and a belief that healing begins with compassion. I particularly welcome BIPOC and 2SLGBTQI+ individuals, and those living with the complexities of migration, identity reconstruction, and intergenerational pain.
I approach each client where they are, developmentally, emotionally, and culturally, with a focus on restoring connection and fostering resilience. I don't believe there is one right way to heal. I believe in listening, in patience, and in walking alongside you at your own pace.
You don't have to have everything figured out to begin. I'm here to walk alongside you, with care.Book a Session
